[One-Third of Chinese Tourists Want to Revisit Korea ...]

Only one out of every three Chinese tourists visiting Korea say they
would like to return, according to a recent survey by the Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO).

The KNTO released the survey results yesterday after questioning 143
Chinese tourists who visited Korea last month.

Asked about whether they want to visit the nation again, 32.3 percent of the respondents said "yes," while the remaining said "no" or "weren't sure," the survey showed.

As for the things that troubled them most during their visit, 69.5
percent cited language barriers as the biggest problem and 43.5 percent pointed to food. Some 27 percent complained about drinking water, 25 percent about tourist guide signs and 18.8 percent about high prices.

However, 92.9 percent of the tourists answered that they were satisfied with Korean tour guides.

Most of them also commented that Korea appears to be socially stable
and well developed, and that the people are kind. They also mentioned Korea's beautiful natural scenery as another plus.

When the survey questioned them about their favorite shopping items
here, the most 56.9 percent selected ginseng and 48.2 percent, clothes and shoes.1998.11.27
