Export Target for Farm Produce Set

Korea's export target for agricultural products has been set at US$1.7 billion. The Agriculture and Forestry Ministry said that is US$ 85 million greater than last year. Seoul's new target takes into account prospects for increased orders for Korean ginseng or Insam, kimchi the country's traditional picked dish as well as other vegetables and fruits all expected to enjoy double digit growth this year. Government also set aside US$ 274 million to support agricultural exports. (Arirang TV) 2001.03.27
