Briefing on Kaesong industrial complex due tomorrow

Korea Federation of Small Business and Hyundai Asan Co. will co-sponsor a presentation tomorrow on the profile of the projected industrial complex in North Korean city of Kaesong, the federation said Saturday. The briefing will highlight information on occupancy in the complex, scope of the complex and plan to develop industrial base facilities. Hyundai Asan and North Korea agreed on Aug. 22 last year to develop the industrial complex covering some 132 million square meters in Kaesong and its vicinities by 2008. The complex will likely house production centers for footwear, fabrics, electronics, ginseng and other products. 2001.02.12
