Keep These Friendly Herbs around the House
You should keep a dozen herbal remedies on hand, says the magazine Herbs for Health. They are echinacea (for immune stimulation), ginger root (motion sickness, nausea), shittake (cancer, heart disease, viral diseases), ginseng (mental sharpness, athletic performance), ginkgo (memory loss, circulation problems), Siberian ginseng (fatigue, concentration), St. John's Wort (mild depression, anxiety), green tea (stimulant, cancer prevention), kava (muscle relaxation, insomnia), astragalus (immune stimulant), hawthorn (circulation) and garlic (high blood pressure, high cholesterol).
Before using any herbal supplements, of course, check with your physician and herbalist for dose information.
